Kate is a mature student at the University of Northampton. She has a love of the natural world and has become a volunteer with us while she studies Art. Kate’s work takes a new angle on the environment and she is using her latest project to investigate the microscopic life in the river; ‘Making the Invisible Visible’.
In this series of blog posts, we follow the development of Kate’s work and her visits to places along the river.

“Under the microscope the clear droplet now reveals its secrets”
“A drop of brackish water, apparently devoid of any activity”?
“No one will protect what they do not care about, and no one will care about what they have not experienced.”
