Volunteering and work opportunities
We currently have two internships available: a River Restoration Intern and a Nene Valley Festival Programme Assistant. Both close for applications on 16 April and we expect interviews to be carried out during the week commencing 23 April. Applications should be made through the University of Northampton's in-house recruitment agency, Unitemps. See more under the internships heading below.
We are recruiting volunteers in three broad roles: historical research, public engagement and outdoor conservation. If you're keen to get involved, please have a read of the role profiles by clicking on the images above.
If you would like to fill out a registration form to become a volunteer then please download the form here and send it back to us at firstname.lastname@example.org or post to Denise Horn, Unit 1 River Nene Regional Park, The Business Exchange, Rockingham Road, Kettering, Northamptonshire, NN16 8JX.
In partnership with the University of Northampton and Santander, we are able to offer a small number of internships. They will be 20 weeks part time or 10 weeks full time for final year students and graduates of the University of Northampton. Students receive a bursary of £3,000, jointly funded by Santander and Nenescape. To apply, please visit the Unitemps website.
The work placement programme is fully funded by Santander and the student completes 72 hours with the partnership. The programme is for first and second year students and each student receives a bursary of £600. These will be open for applications via the Unitemps website.
We are also able to host students who want to complete a two-week work placement as part of their study. This is not funded by the university and therefore offered as volunteer time. We have a range of opportunities, so please get in touch to find out more.
If you are interested in joining the team under a work experience placement or internship, please complete an expression of interest form (download here) and return it to us.
